Ecosia is the green search engine that plants and protects trees. The company dedicates at least 80% of its profits from advertising revenue into tree-planting projects in biodiversity hotspots around the globe. The rest of its profits go into other climate action initiatives, such as regenerative agriculture and its own solar power plants. Since it was founded in 2009, Ecosia has planted over 120 million trees in over 25 countries, ranging from Australia to Burkina Faso and from Madagascar to Brazil, restoring ecosystems and improving livelihoods while tackling the climate crisis head-on.
